John was the best man at his brother's wedding, and I was the maid of honor. After the wedding, we all went to the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland, climbed out on the ledge outside the room for a very memorable picture. It didn't take long for the people on the street and hotel management to let us know that that was not acceptable. But we got our pictures and very fun memories before we came back in. I always remember that night and laugh. John will be missed by all who knew him.

In the years that I worked with John when the conversation turned to his children you could feel the pride he had in them. John was a natural leader at work and well liked. I will always hold fond the memories of my interactions and time spent with John. Simply said "John was a good man" My thoughts and prayers are with his family
