Mythol "Mike" (Hildreth) Benninghofen
HEATH: Mythol "Mike" (Hildreth) Benninghofen of Heath, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mythol was born January 25, 1936, in Sumner, Washington, to the late Herman and Pearl (West) Hildreth.
Mythol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Fred Benninghofen, whom she married on August 16, 1959, in Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by her daughter Martha (Forrest) Cooperrider of Heath; and son, Bill "Butch" Benninghofen (Ryan Wertz) of Columbus; grandsons, Charles (Shannon) Sheley of Pataskala, Timothy Rostorfer and Mark Rostorfer, both of Heath; and great-granddaughters, Cassandra Sheley and Joann Sheley. Mythol is also survived by her mother-in-law, Clara Benninghofen of Newark; and her sisters-in-law, Lili Hildreth of Quebec, Canada and Juliet Hildreth of Anchorage, AK. She is preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers Herman, Larry, and Joe.
Mythol served for many years as secretary of the "Rolling '60's" bowling league at Park Lanes, and on the local chapter of the Women's International Bowling Congress. She was also involved in the Girl Scout Council of Licking County. Mythol was employed by Arcade Drugs, from where she retired. Previous employers included Alltel and Arlington Nursing Home.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive where her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Tom Olson, Presiding. Burial to follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Friends if they wish may donate in her name to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark (43055).

Bill and Family....blessings to you, peace and understanding. Sorry for your loss. I worked with Mythol at Arcade Pharmacy. She always went out of her way to take care of the pharmacy customers. Everyone loved her.

Sorry to hear of Aunt Mythols passing. I never got to meet her but if she was anything like my Dad, she would have been a hoot to be around. I will be thinking of your family in the coming days and hope that you have peace in your heart.
