Benjamin N. Harris, 74, of Farmington, died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Farmington. He was born March 28, 1938, in Bisti.
He worked as a welder majority of his life. He worked for many years at PESCO, in Farmington, until his retirement.
Benjamin loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed the company of his great-grandsons.
He liked to hunt, watch wrestling, Scyfy, "Matlock" and "Texas Ranger."
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Ben H. and Betty Harris and his brothers, Harold, Dwight and Harry Harris.
He is survived by his daughters, Geraldine and Genevieve Harris, both of Farmington, Geneva and Jacqueline Harris, both of Carson, Bernice Harris, of Albuquerque and Charlene (Robert) Cooks, of Carson; brother, Bobby Harris, of Carson; sisters, Marjorie Begay and Ann (Andrew) Begay, all of Bisti and Elsie Skeans, of Kan.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington.
A funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, also at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington, with Rev. Raymond Sales officiating.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
Please join the family for a reception at Huerfano Chapter House.
Pallbearers are Leroy Christiansen, Hesper Brown, Henry Tinhorn, Jason Tinhorn, Anthony Toney and Robert Cooks.
Honorary pallbearers are all his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are with COPE MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington, 505-327-5142.
