Wineva Nieto
Wineva passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Gridley Healthcare and Wellness Center.
She was born September 9, 1923 in Chico, CA to Earle and Kathryne Kimmons.
Wineva was a long time resident of Marysville, having worked many years as a bookkeeper for Permatight Roofing. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and sewing. Wineva loved and doted on her grandchildren. She was a member of the YLI (Young Ladies Institute), St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marysville and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley.
Wineva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray Nieto, and one brother Lane Nieto.
She is survived by one son Ray Nieto of Marysville and one daughter Lolane Kilby of Gridley, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm at the Gridley Block Funeral Chapel. A Rosary will be at 9 am Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The Mass will follow at 10 am with Father Avram Brown officiating.
Family suggests donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are entrusted to Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.
