Corinne Rodriguez Obituary

Corinne Joy Hill Rodriguez, 62, departed this world to be with the Lord, on September 9, 2012 at the home of her son, John Bazo in Beverly Hills, FL.

Joy was born in Arlington, VA June 30, 1950. She graduated from Warren County High School in Front Royal, VA in 1968. She received her Nursing Degree from the Alexandria School of Nursing in 1972. She worked as an RN for many years until she began teaching nursing students. She ended her medical career working for Cigna Insurance Company at the Tampa Bay office.

Joy was a past member and participant in the Old Dominion 100 mile Equestrian Race. She loved riding and raising horses as well as many other outdoor pursuits including aircraft flying and scuba diving. She was a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, FL.

Joy was an inspiration to those around her, always focusing on the good things, no matter how bad the situation. Her smile and good nature could lift the spirits of all who came into contact with her. We will miss her kind heart and gentle spirit.

Joy is survived by her mother, Carolyn A. Hill, Banke of Ocala, FL; two sons, John Albert Bazo and wife Daisy of Beverly Hills, FL, SFC Peter Charlton Bazo, US Army, and wife Kimberly of Fort Lewis, WA; brothers, Richard C. Hill II of Stephens City, VA, and Paul S. Hill of Bentonville, VA; sister, Leona Ann Hill Mallonee of Ocala, FL; three grandchildren, Mason Jackson and Bella Grace of Beverly Hills, FL, and Hannah Rose Bazo of Fort Lewis, WA.

The family will receive friends at the Holiday Inn, Blue Ridge Shadows, 111 Hospitality Drive, Front Royal, VA on Sunday, November 18, from 3-5 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at the Panorama Gardens Cemetery in Waterlick, VA at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 19.
