Joe Conant Obituary

JOE LEON CONANT

Passed away on Veteran's Day, November 12, 2012. He was born the sixth of 10 children to James and Lura conant in Anna, IL, on August 22, 1929.

A Purple Heart medal recipient of the Korean War, Joe moved to Los Angeles where he met and married Sonja 55 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Sonja; his three children, Linda, Ken and Carolyn; his grandchildren, Alex and Jacob; and his three sons-in-law, Bob, Jim and Eric.

He was so proud of his service to his country and we were so proud of him. The most patriotic person we have ever known, our true hero.

A private family service is scheduled for Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Ken,

I wish I had met your Dad. If he raised someone as loving and caring as you, he must've been a great guy. I know you will miss him as I still miss mine 41 years later. The best part is he will stay with you in spirit. You and your family are in our thoughts.
