Armando C. (Mando) Rodriguez
80*, of Ontario passed away peacefully on November 25, 2012, surrounded by his family. Armando grew up in Guasti and lived in Ontario for the last 56 years. He graduated from Chaffey High
School in 1950. He was then drafted to the Army and served in the Korean War. He worked at Brookside Winery and retired from Chaffey College in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lidia Rodriguez. His son Armando (Irene) Rodriguez, Jr of Chino. His Daughters Virginia (Michael) Massey of Oceanside and Sharon (Steve) Castro of Old Town, Maine. Armando loved his grandchildren, Michael & Joseph Rodriguez, Brittney, Jacob & Berkleigh Massey and Angelina, Joel and Ileana Castro. He enjoyed entertaining them with his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Luz (Lucita) Rodriguez and his brothers Robert & Salvador Rodriguez.
Armando was a man of integrity and generosity. He was kindhearted and will never be forgotten in the lives of the people he touched. Armando, along with his wife, were world travelers having enjoyed more than 30 cruises and traveled wherever their hearts desired.
The family will remember him by the following verse:
*God's garden must be beautiful. He always takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went you the day God called you home
*In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the U.S.O. Ontario, 1940 E. Moore Way-WestWing, Ontario, California 91761. Services are pending: please inquire at Draper Mortuary.

Armando helped me fit in here at the college whenI started in 1989. I still work in the Purchasing/Warehouse here at Chaffey. We still think of Armando and comment on how well he was organized.
Many of his methods are still being used. You both were such a warm couple and and I will always remember our Christmas dinners Linda Flurry, Norman Ivory, Shirely Burchei and me - Veronica Springer had with each other.
