ROBARE, ELIZABETH "BETTY", of Sanford, FL. Born May 27, 1931 in Nagaunee, MI, died December 1, 2012. Moved to Sanford as a Navy wife in 1956. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Robare. She was a stay at home mom to six children, Robert C. (Denise), Debra (Tim), Thomas (Jenifer), Laura (Dave), Lisa (Craig), Bear/Barbara (Wayne). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was a surrogate mother to all of our friends growing up. She served for 20 years as room mother/grandmother at Pinecrest Elementary School. She was selected by the Sanford Herald from many entries as mother of the year in 1990. She took her grandson, countless friends, and neighbors to doctor appointments and cancer treatments. All those who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed by all. She is now at peace. Betty was such a wonderful woman and she will be missed by all of us here in the UP. She was so good to my grandma (gert chapman) and anytime she came back to the UP to visit she always made time to visit with her and me too. My deepest sympathies go out to her family.

Your family meant so much to all of us! We have wonderful, loving memories of the time she took to raise us, teach us, and most of all, love us. She was the dearest aunt & the kindest, sweetest of women. When I was a young military wife, far away from home and my family for the first time, she watched over me from Sanford to Quantico, Va.I loved her so much and can't wait to see her again in Heaven.
