Janice Marie Burdick Richards

1938-2012 NORTH ADAMS Janice Marie (Burdick) Richards, 74 of 150 Ashland St. North Adams died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at North Adams Regional Hospital.

She was born in Florida, Mass., on September 16, 1938 a daughter of the late Robert H. Burdick and Viola (St. Cyr) Burdick. She graduated from Drury High School in 1956.

Janice worked as a foreman at the Jarisch Paper Box Company in North Adams for many years. She enjoyed snowmobile riding, motorcycles, vegetable gardening and flowers.

She leaves her husband, Robert A. Richards whom she married in July 1956 in St. Francis Church.

She is also survived by a daughter, Lisa Robert and her husband Glenn of North Adams, three sons, David Richards and his wife Dorothy of Jacksonville, Fla., Wayne Richards of North Carolina and Eric Richards and his wife Jeannie of Adams. 13 Grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, three brothers, Ronald Burdick of Adams, Roger Burdick of Pittsfield, and Victor Burdick of Connecticut and one sister, Carole Mazzu of Holyoke, Mass.

She is predeceased by a sister, Elaine Choquette.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Janice Marie (Burdick) Richards will take place Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. followed by burial in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
