Jeanette "Addie" Currence Mace, 64, a resident of Valley Head, W.V. passed from this life Sunday evening December 30, 2012, at Davis Memorial Hospital.
Addie was born Friday, March 12, 1948, at Becky's Creek, a daughter of the late Reuben Davis Currence and Goldie Virginia Bishop Currence. On April 5, 1965, in Baltimore, Md., she married Michael Eugene Mace who survives. They enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage.
Also left to cherish her memory are three children, Jeanette Michelle Maher of New Bern, Christine Bertelli and husband, Carlo, of Midland, Va., and Jodi Mace of Midland, Va.; three brothers, Reuben Currence and wife, Marvella, of Huttonsville, W.V., Jerry Currence and wife, Phyllis, of Becky's Creek, W.V., Eddie 'Bill' Currence of Mill Creek, W.V.; one sister, Retha Jane 'Sis' Channell and husband, Donnie, of The Plains, Va., three grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Mace, Matthew Maher, and Ryan Maher; one step granddaughter, Jamie Bertelli; three great- grandchildren, Christian, Brooklynn, and Cali; many half brothers, half sisters, nieces and nephews.
Addie was preceded in death by a daughter, Jese Dawn Mace; one grandson, Bryan Michael Mace; and a sister, Sarah Currence.
Addie attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker, and worked as a cook for the Valley Head Restaurant. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and other various crafts.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. Pastor Frank Stanley will officiate and interment will follow at the Valley Head Cemetery. The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Jeanette "Addie" Currence Mace.
