Richardson, Daniel J., Jr.
Elmira: Age 80, died peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Dan was born December 1, 1932 the son of Daniel J. and Metta (Johnson) Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Ruth Morrell Richardson; children, with their families, Patricia and Michael D. Lewis, North Carolina with children Michael P. Lewis, Kathryn (Greg) Nichols, Matthew Lewis, Neil Lewis; Daniel J., III and Delores Richardson, Elmira with daughters, McKenzie and Danielle; Laurie and Gary Williamson, Big Flats with sons, Zachary and Joshua Daniel; brother and sister-in-law Thomas V. and Nancy Richardson, New Jersey; cousins, Sister Theresa Richardson, RSM, Rochester, Mary Francis (John) Nelson, Florida; along with several nieces, nephews, and many wonderful neighbors. Dan was a veteran of the U S Navy. He was retired from the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. Active in different clubs, Dan was a member of the Elmira BPOE #62, American Legion Post #154, Elmira Heights Catholic War Vets, White Eagles Club and the Moose Club, Horseheads. Friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Immediately following calling hours all are invited to join Dan's family at the Elmira Elks Lodge #62, 300 E. Gray Street to celebrate Dan's wonderful life. Interment will take place on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Dan's family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Members of the Elmira Elks Lodge #62, will meet at McInerny Funeral Home, Saturday, at 4:45 p.m. to conduct a service for our brother Dan. Signed James Sprague, Exalted Ruler
