Lucille F. Rosenthal

Lucille F. Rosenthal "Ma Lulu", 77, of the Belle Terre Community in Piedmont, wife of Robert Rosenthal, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
Born in Falconer, NY, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Fonti, Sr. and Grace Provenzano Fonti.
Mrs. Rosenthal retired from BB&T where she worked as a mortgage collection counselor. She was member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and former charter member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church where she served in various capacities.
In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, she is survived by children, Linda Lewis (Kenny), Robert Rosenthal (Karen), Daniel Rosenthal (Becky), Jeffrey Rosenthal (Susan), and Laurie Haramut (John); grandchildren, Courtney, Jacob, Lacey, Chelsea, Cory, Dylan, Sam, Ashley, Ryan, Michael, Josh, Jack, and Luke; great grandchildren, Garrett, Carson, Lucy, Lainey, and Aubrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Timothy Rosenthal; two sisters and two brothers.
A Vigil Service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence.

I'm so saddened to hear that Lucy passed away. I worked w/her @ BB&T for several years and I know she won't soon be forgotten. She had such a laid back personality, a kind heart and an infectious energy! I thought of her as a surrogate grandma to me, she was always willing to listen and comfort me through hard times.
I'll miss you Lucy but I hope you meet my Mom up there and say hello for me! She loved hearing stories about the great food you cooked, but especially about the sweet things you did for her son.

Mrs. Lucy will be miss dearly. She was a very sweet and kind person. She always ask me about my health and what i need to take and with tears in my eyes i can say she was a mother figure to alot of us here at BBT. I was so sorry to get the news of Mrs. Rosenthal. My heart goes out to all of the family. I have such fond memories of going into the Rosenthal house when I was growing up and seeing what Mrs. Rosenthal was cooking! She was always cooking something that would smell so good!
