My thoughts and prayers go out to the Wise family. Gainesville not only lost a great surveyor, but a truly compassionate man for life, family, and surveying as well. It is without a doubt, a great, yet memorable pleasure to have worked with Mr. H....

I was blessed to have Harold as a mentor and friend. His eagerness to teach and pass on his knowledge of sectional surveys made every job exciting. The world has lost a gifted and talented surveyor.
Thank you harold for everything you taught me. I will see to it that PSM 3456 continues on thru my work and work ethic. You stayed in touch long after my leaving and I am grateful for our talks.
I know you're proving corners in heaven. Rest my friend and God bless.

We lost one of the best surveyors in Florida with Harold's passing. He will be missed by our profession and by his friends.
I've known him since 1972 and he was a great friend and always willing to lend a hand or a professional opinion.
God Bless you my friend.

I'm going to miss you old friend. Many were the times we discussed surveying issues or as you were fond of saying "hashed them out". I learned more about surveying in my 40 years of knowing you (since 1972) than any college education could teach.
Sweet dreams old friend and may you find many corners needing proving in heaven.

I am so sorry that Harold is gone. We will miss him!! He was a character in his own right. When we worked together he used to walk around the office with the turkey caller in his mouth, practicing all day. First time I heard him say excitedly that he had "dug up a witness" my mind went "what??" He was talking about digging up an old tree stump to prove a corner. He was one heck of a surveyor. He was a good man; a man of his word. He loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren. We will miss him!

Oh Harold....the stories we could tell!!! Maybe we will just keep them safe with the secrets of the Class of 1966. Guess you, Bobby and Emery are already doing some fishing and "tall" story telling.
Mary please know that you and family are in my thoughts and many prayers.
Love to you all,
Sandy Haddock

So sad to hear about Harold. I have known him since 1997. We found out at that time that we shared the same birthday as well as both of us being born at AGH.
