William Laughlin Youree
William Laughlin Youree, age 76 of Readyville, TN, passed away on February 3, 2013, surrounded by family at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN.
A lifelong resident of Readyville, Mr. Youree was the son of the late Fred Craig Youree and Josie Fay Patrick Youree.
Mr. Youree graduated from Kittrell High School in 1955 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University before serving in the US Army for two years. He spent twenty-five years as a loan officer for Production Credit Association, and time with First National Bank in Woodbury, before becoming a certified real estate appraiser. He was a farmer.
Mr. Youree was a member of the Rutherford County Equalization Board, Kittrell Fire Department Board President, Farm Bureau Board member, American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers, past president of the Tennessee Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, member of Tennessee Cattleman's Association, The Gideon's International, Lions Club, Soil Conservation Services Supervisor, and he was charter member of MTSU's Block & Bridle. He was a 4-H volunteer and sponsor.
Mr. Youree was the clerk of session and an elder for Cripple Creek Presbyterian Church in Readyville. He was active in the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Berry Ann Moore Youree of Readyville, with whom he was married for 50 years; daughters, Cynthia Youree Gill and husband James of Gurley, NE, and their children Elizabeth and Emily; Charlotte Rae Youree Peay and husband Joey of Readyville, and their children Madilyn, Natalie, Zachary and Carolyn; Cheryl Youree Yager and husband Edward of Nashville; and Carla Youree Bush and husband Matthew of Woodbury and their children Julie and Josie; and his sister Martha Claire Youree of Readyville.
Funeral services will be 11 am. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Lawrence Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Cripple Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Fred Walkup, Jeff Woodin, Michael Sliger, George Curry, Bud Mitchell, John Ingle, Harding Fox, Randy Dickerson, Ronnie Pack, Jim Rust, Bobby Adams, Marvin Whitworth and Kenneth Fox.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Cripple Creek Presbyterian Church's cemetery fund at 1247 Cripple Creek Road, Readyville, TN 37149

The Rutherford County Farm Service Agency will sincerely miss his smiling face at our board meetings. He was a great Chairman and great person. Our sympathy and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Laughlin was my board member at the Rutherford County Soil Conservation District for the short time that I worked there. I remember well how he fought for me to get that job and the gentle ease this man had. When he spoke, you listened, because he was a man of few, but important words. He will be deeply missed.
