I ALWAYS INTRODUCED GERRY IN THIS WAY AND SHE ALWAYS GOT A CHUCKLE OUT OF IT...."please meet Gerry, she is my oldest and dearest friend...we were born 2 days apart and by the same midwife, DONA MARIA LAVAGNIA" and then Gerry would laugh and I ALSO REMEMBER MY GIBBY LOVING GERRY SO MUCH THAT HE WOULD SAY, "HEY, MAR...IF I MET GERRY FIRST I WOULD HAVE MARRIED HER!" Well, they are together now, laughing down at us and praying for us. AND, ONE LAST AND WONDERFUL THINGS SHE TAUGHT ME....GERRY was the first person I had to dinner when we were first married and I made a Recipe called, Arabian Pork Chops...She and we loved them, but the important thing is that she mailed me a beautiful THANK YOU card which was very new to me in those days...and I HAVE NEVER STOPPED DOING THIS MYSELF BECAUSE OF THE EXAMPLE BY OLDEST AND DEAREST FRIEND GERRY TAUGHT ME!"

Mark, Gina, & Jamie,
I'm sorry I was unable to do the toast to your mom as you know I was out of town .
I did however toast your Mom & my Aunt Gerry last night with people who are not related .
We lifted our glasses and did a toast to her . It was not tea either which your mom enjoyed , it was of the adult variety .
She is having a wonderful time now with my Mom & Dad & Uncle Tony etc etc .
God Bless Her You and the family , I know she is smiling down on us all.

Gina, I know you are probably still as busy as ever and so mornful of your mom but do know she is in a better place
and out of her hurting/aching etc. God is with her now. I
TOUCH her every day. About 28 years ago, your mom gave me (3 OF US SHARED BIRTHDAYS FOR YEARS AND WE GAVE EACH OTHER GIFTS) as I STARTED TO SAY, SHE GAVE ME A STATUE OF MARY OF GLASS WHICH I ADORED WHEN SHE GAVE IT TO ME AND MORE EACH TIME I SEE AND TOUCH HER. WELL, MARY IS IN MY BEDROOM HERE AND EVERYTIME I GO BY IT NOW, I
ADD A SPECIAL PRAYER FOR GERRY, MY OLDEST AND
DEAREST FRIEND AND I KNOW SHE IS SMILING DOWN ON ME AND HAPPY. Mary Gibson

Dear Commpa Jimmy, Mark, Gina and Jamie,
I was so sad to hear about Gerry's passing. I recall so many dear memories of visiting your house in Woodridge and our get togethers. Your wife and mom was the greatest, cook, cleaner and one of the kindest, beautiful woman I ever met. I loved her like I love all of you and wish I could wrap my arms around you all and comfort you and your families. Know you are blessed and she is in Heaven with God's Loving Arms around her now.
All my love and prayers,

YOU ALL HAVE MY SINCEREST SYMPATHY AND IT COMES FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. WE ALL KNOW THO, THAT GERRY SUFFERED SO MUCH AND THAT NOW, AS OUR FAITH TEACHES US AND WHAT I BELIEVE, SHE IS SAFE WITH OUR LORD JESUS AND ALL THE SAINTS AND FRIENDS IN HEAVEN. OUR DEAR LORD SHE IS DESERVING OF PEACE NOW.
GERRY WAS MY OLDEST AND DEAREST FRIEND AND AS I MOST ALWAYS SAID AS I INTRODUCED HER T0 MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, SHE WAS "MY OLDEST AND DEAREST FRIEND, BORN TWO DAYS APART BY
THE SAME MID-WIFE, DONA MARIA LAVAGNA"! I WILL MISS HER AND I HAVE ALREADY MISSED HER SINCE SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE ME WHEN SHE FELT SOOO BADLY. JIM AND CHILDREN...Remember always for she was THE BEST WIFE, MOTHER AND FRIEND ANYONE COULD EVER ASK FOR...SO GIVING .,..SO GENEROUS ...SO LOVING. REST IN PEACE MY GERRY, WITH LOVE,... Dear Uncle Jim, Mark, Gina and Jamie,
My heart is heavy right now with the loss
of your wife, your mother and my God Mother. She was very special to me and I will miss her but am grateful for all the wonderful memories I have over all these years.
Aunt Gerry was so kind and loving and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. May God Bless all of you and comfort you in the days ahead. We know where she is resting now and that is what will bring us peace each day.
With Love,
Lola
