I had the pleasure of meeting Gordon Abbott, Jr. an alumnus of UMass Boston (1990) a few years ago on a morning with a gorgeous snowfall. That conversation resulted in the story found in at alumni.umb.edu/abbott.

The University of Massachusetts Boston admires the energy Gordon gave to his degree in American studies, which he began at age 57.

We deeply appreciate his support of our university.
