Mr. John F. Hodapp, age 83, a veteran of the US Marine Corps died peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013. John was predeceased by his parents; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Joe Hanner; two grandchildren, Stephen and Janelle Hanner; and brothers, Armand and Bernard. John loved his family and was a generous man. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy Cole Hodapp; daughters, Linda Boyatt and Judy Harvey; sons-in-law, Steven Boyatt and Matt Harvey; special family members Nancy and Paul Hanner; and beloved grandchildren, Lindsey and Greg Hanner, Mitchell and Holly Boyatt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Chuzi. A funeral and committal will be held Wednesday, 11AM at Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Road where his family will receive visitors one hour prior to the services. If you are interested in memorializing John the family suggests donations to The Wounded Warrior Project instead of flowers. Helping veterans will be a wonderful remembrance and tribute.

We want to express the utmost love and sympathy to you and "all your girls and boys" on behalf of John's passing. His beautiful funeral and moving military tribute and burial were ever so meaningful and comforting. John was a wonderful brother-in-law and a true hero to his family, his church, and his country. We will never forget him. His memory will be kept alive in our hearts and minds forever.

I met John at the gym working out. He was always so kind to me and so caring. I last spoke with him less than a week ago. I'll miss him very much. He had a smile that warmed my heart.
