Charles Anderson Fink, 84
Charles Anderson Fink, 84, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Farmington and Las Cruces. Mr. Fink passed away on May 6, 2013 of complications from a rare form of liver cancer.
Active pallbearers will be John W. Fink, Patricia Fink Campbell, William Anderson Fink, Len Campbell, Dan Roush, Joe Roush, Keith Clayshulte, Alan Britt, and Matt Burnett.
Honorary pallbearers include Doris J. Horner, Clara Burnett Perkins, Kimberly Lande Fink, Bob Schmerheim, Dean Anderson, Art Perkins, John Alexander, Don Adams, Emanuel Weigand, Jack Acuff, Bill Sawin, Cliff Perrin, Gene Whitehorn, Ray Mobley, Rodney Heath, Benton DeWees, Jim Johnson, Bill Liese, and Kent Mobley.
Mr. Fink was born January 1929 in Ronceverte, West Virginia to E. L. and Cleora Fink. He served as a Second Lt. USA during the Korean Conflict, and then graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Mr. Fink began his career with Standard Oil Company in Virginia and West Virginia. He moved to Farmington, New Mexico in 1962 to work for El Paso Natural Gas Company, then left to start his own venture, Bar-F Enterprises. Bar-F grew from the initial purchase of six service stations in northern New Mexico and Colorado to encompass more than twenty stations throughout New Mexico. He married Patricia Price Fink in 1953 and they had three children.
Mr. Fink was preceded in death in 2000 by his wife of 47 years, Patricia, his son Charles Anderson Fink, Jr., (Andy) in 1973 and brother B. J. Fink in 1991.
He is survived by daughter Patricia Fink Campbell of Arlington, Virginia, John W. Fink of Merritt Island, Florida, two sisters, Sarah Haskins and Nancy Witschey, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 211 W. 20th St., Farmington with Rev. John Preston officiating.
Interment will follow with full military honors provided by VFW Post #2182 in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington. The family will receive guests after the interment service at the home of Jan and Alan Britt.
Charles is in the care of Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington 505-325-8688.

Patty and John, what a lovely tribute to your father. I so enjoyed the pictures! The world was a better place because of him. I am so glad I knew him.
