I was so saddened when I learned of Sues' passing. It was almost a year after her death that I found out from Chris Caston.
I'm so sorry that I was not at the service to give my condolences and to say good bye to my friend,Sue Reed.
We made each other laugh so much on Facebook, by picking on each other and kidding with each other. I will never forget you Sue. I'm so grateful our paths crossed one final time after so many years had gone by,out of high school. It seemed like we picked up right where we left off; just having a great time enjoying each other as friends.
Thanks for all the good times and great memories, Sue. I love you and miss you. Dean Bartlett

Susan was my "Big Sister" at Sigma Nu. Besides being a beautiful young woman she was a joy to be around. Her smile lit up the room. My thoughts and prayer are extended to her family, fiance and friends.

Sue and my daughter, Luann became friends soon after Sue moved to Sherman. They were classmates going off to Texas Tech as roomnates. Her mother Helen made many trips to Lubbock with us, as her father, Jack was working out of the country. Sometimes Luann's father Bill Roberts filled in for Jack on parents days and other occasions at Tech. Luann was an attendant in Sue's wedding and Sue of served in Luann's wedding. Luann and Sue remianed very dear friends. Sue was part of our family, like another daughter and sister. We loved her very much.

I have lovely memories of Susan. We met about 28 years ago as founding members of Between Us, a breast cancer support group. She was beautiful, with a lovely spirit, so delightful to share time with. We thoughtfully worked together to discuss and implement what would be of the most help to women facing the same diagnosis we had received. This bond endured for many years, with cards, photos and notes updating events in our lives. Throughout Susan's moves to exciting cities, she and I planned our annual checkups in Dallas together many times. Lunch afterwards was the highlight. So caring, interested in others, a beautiful and engaging smile. That's the Susan that I knew and have missed. Stan, Susan introduced me and my husband, Bob, to you, when our paths crossed at Snookies about a year ago. My condolences to you, Stan, and to her father, on the loss of such a lovely person.

A special little sister who became a part of my life growing up. Sue was the BFF to Lulu, my real 'lil sister, and the two partnered in numerous mischievous pranks targeting their their big sister throughout high school and college. I always thought that there would be many more opportunities to laugh about those days with Sue and Lu. No one could outwit those two when they got together! I know Luann misses you terribly, as do mom and I. So glad you became a lasting part of our family.
