SARAH M. STERCULA, 83, FORMERLY OF BIRDSBORO Sarah M. (O'Leary) Stercula, 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 14 at Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home, Royersford. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Dora (Shamburg) O'Leary. Sarah worked at Firestone Tire Company for 28, retiring when the factory closed. She also worked at Graco and J & L Manufacturing. She enjoyed bowling, quilting and loved to play bingo. Most important to her were her grandchildren and family whom she loved spending time with. Surviving are children, Roxane C. Sheeler, wife of Calvin "Gus"; William F. Stercula; Rose Petri, wife of Henry; Barbara A. Schweitzer, wife of Russell, and Dolores M. McGinty, wife of Joe; brothers, Jack and Robert O'Leary; sister, Patricia Barry; grandchildren, Amy, Bethany, Melissa, Megan, Kelly, Nathan, Lizi, Emma, Ben, Brent and Kylie; five grea- grandchildren, Dillon, Caitlin, Brody, Rhiley and Ava, and eight half-siblings. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sarah's name to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box, 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. I know how much you loved and cared for your mom and I wish I was there to hug you. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you take some comfort in knowing that just as she was there for you - you were there for her. Love you.

The only adult that ever scared me more than my own mother was Mrs. Stercula. I loved being welcomed into your home. I'll never forget "she wasn't a bad kid - just walked a very fine line". You are and always will be a huge part of my own history.

I am so sad for you Rose. Although I never met your mom I do see her goodness in you. She raised an amazing daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Although we never met, I am grateful to you for your daughter Delores. She is filled with so much love, compassion and selflessness. While you were called home you left so much love here on earth. May you rest in peace and your legacy live on forever.
