RICHARD E. HOFFMAN CEDAR LAKE, IN
Richard E. Hoffman, age 68, of Cedar Lake passed away Monday, July 8, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Sarah Rogers; grandson, Carson Rogers; sisters: Shirley Chianelli and Marsha Wiers; also, the best friends in the world. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Tlucek, O.F.M., officiating. Inurnment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave.), Cedar Lake. Rich served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era, and his passion was anything that would help out our veterans. Rich loved his time spent with his grandson, Carson, and cat, Sydney. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Rich was a great man, my computer repair company had the opportunity to fix his computer a few times, and he was full of stories, especially about that grandson of his Carson. Carol and Sarah you are in our thoughts during this difficult time.

I worked for rich at his highland and hammond standard stations back in the early 80s.he was a very good boss and a friend.I have seen him all through the years.my deepest sympathies to carol and sarah.
