We were so very fortunate to have met Eleanor while staying at the Driftwood on several occasions. What fabulous memories! She was kind enough to accompany us on our boating excursions and share her great knowledge of the River. She was indeed a very special woman, and we will miss her warm, welcoming personality.

Reading Eleanor's tribute, it appears she lived a very special and full life. I live in Long Beach, California and possess a wonderful, older painting of Balinese dancers, signed by an Eleanor Austin. I can only hope it was painted by your loved one.

I had the great privilege of knowing Eleanor and her loving family at the end of her life. I thoroughly enjoyed Eleanor, who was most fascinating and vivacious! All of you were so loving and attentive in your care of Aunt Eleanor.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Eleanor was truly our very special friend for more than 30 years. We had many great dinners & great times in Canada & CT. She truly loved our 3 shelties and drew portraits of them.
In the last few weeks, we took "Dixie" to visit & she was elated.
We will miss Eleanor tremendously,
