Mason Parker Obituary

Mason L. Parker SchenectadyMason L. Parker, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Born in Stillwater, NY on August 2, 1924, Mase was the son of the late Raymond and Francis Waters Parker. Mase graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1941. He served as a medic during WWII and received the Bronze Star as well as other honors. Mase moved to Schenectady and worked at various jobs before retiring from the Schenectady Gazette. He was member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aux 514 of Schenectady. Mase was the beloved husband of 36 years to the late Rose Raffele Parker; brother-inlaw of Amelia and Floyd Dufel and Dolly Raffele; beloved uncle of Kathy Raffele, Stephanie Raffele, Roseanne DeLoreto and Steve Raffele III. Mase is also survived by his great-nephew, Steven Raffele IV; great-niece, Jennifer (Gabe) Rounds; and their daughter, KInley Clare. Services for Mase will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the charity of your choice.
