SEVERIANO "STEVE" MENDOZA DONNA- Severiano "Steve" Mendoza, 80, passed away August 1, 2013 at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco. He was born to Cleofas and Maria Mendoza on September 14, 1932 in Donna, TX. Steve was a lifelong resident of Donna, having served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his ex-wife, Mary G. Gonzalez; his brothers and sisters; and grandchildren, Norman Mitchell Mendoza II and Steven Anthony Mendoza. He is survived by his sons, Norman Mitchell (Nora) Mendoza of Angelton, TX, Steven Miles (Lynda) Mendoza of McAllen; stepson, Rene George (Irma) Guerra of Florida, 8 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 4pm to 9pm, with a rosary at 7pm at McCaleb Funeral Home in Weslaco. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
