Kenneth Dovich Obituary

Dovich, Kenneth J. Of Joliet, passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL Friday, August 2, 2013. Age 66 years. Survived by his loving wife, Pam Erdey-Dovich and his sister, Judi (Pat) Augustine. Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Georgiana Dovich and his brother, Robert Dovich. Ken was born January 1, 1947 in Chicago. Graduate of DeLasalle High School in Chicago. Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967 and was a "tunnel rat" in combat. Ken, along with a group of guys sitting around a picnic table at Emerald Acres Campground in Pearl City, wanted to do something to make the campground better. Ken thought they should do something to honor the veterans. POW Memorial Walls were erected and dedicated July 21, 2012. Retired from Glacier Water Co. Formerly employed with Freedom Imaging as head mechanic and with A.R. Supply Co. Memorial services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 305 W. Black Rd., Shorewood at 10:00 A.M. Rev. George Klima officiating. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Ken Dovich will be appreciated.
