Parsons Ora "Skip" James Parsons, Jr., 76, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at home with his family. He was born July 10, 1937 in Filbert, WV, the first son of the late Ora and Ruth Parsons. Skip was a retired mechanic at D. Jays Service Center. He is also preceded in death by his brother Andy Parsons. Skip is survived by his wife, Lois Parsons; sons, James (Nancy), Danny (Lenore), Michael (Margie) and Craig (Ashley); daughters, Serena (Mark) Bostic, Sabrina (B.C.) Owen and Carol (Rick) Goldhardt; step-sons, Rex (Candy) Ball, Clyed (Franchesca) Ball and Eugene Ball; step-daughter and care-giver, Amy Ball; step-daughter, Lindsey Ball; four brothers; six sisters; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14 at 4221 Powell Ave., Whitehall, OH. Arrangements under the care of COTNER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg. It seems like an eternety ago that I got together with you guys but you always showed me your hospitality and kindness. I know you children of Skip's were very close to him and he was a very good father. So I know the pain that you must be in right now and Lois, even though I have never met you, I can relate to your pain.
