James Harvey Jarrell James Harvey Jarrell, 90, of Charlottesville, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Martha Jefferson Hospital after a short illness. After completing high school, he joined the U.S. Navy from which he was honorably discharged in 1946. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Jarrell; and brother, Raymond Jarrell. He is survived by his daughter, Linda J. Campbell of Charlottesville; two grandchildren, Priscilla and her husband, Jonathan Langone of Indiana, and Jennifer and her husband, Brian, and a lovely great-grandchild, Caela of Charlottesville. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday September 17, 2013, at Holly Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Malone officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 6 until 7 p.m. at the Hill and Wood funeral Home. The family would like to thank caregiver, Pat Marshall for being Dad's best friend, chef, and chauffeur. Pat was a caring, loving supporter of Dad.
