My sincere condolences to the family of Dr.Paul Gerst. He interviewed me and was very instrumental in my becoming part of the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center's employees. Dr. Gerst was always fair and a great surgeon and Department Director, as well. I will always be grateful for his input in what allowed me 26 years of service to the Hospital, as well as a retirement life I may not have had if he not encouraged me to forge forward in my life. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Gerst. Rest in Peace.
