JANICE MARIE BROWN (NEE LORENCE) VALPARAISO, IN Janice Marie Brown, age 66, of Valparaiso passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Beloved wife of John for 47 years; loving mother of Jeff (Laura) and Paul (Kristy); cherished grandmother of Ross, Kyle, Nicholas, Haley, Luke, and Jamie; dear sister of Judy (Larry) Shrader and Michael Lorence. Janice was a graduate of Andrean High School and Indiana University, and earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Valparaiso University. She was a retired Special Education teacher from Ben Franklin Middle School in Valparaiso. Janice was a truly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed friends, family, and shopping; but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso with Fr. Kevin McCarthy officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM DIRECTLY at Calvary Cemetery 2701 Willowdale Road, Portage.
