Calvin Eugene Burch, 73, of Prairie Village, Kan., passed away Oct. 19, 2013 in his home with his wife of 53 years, Linda by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Ave., Mission, Kan. The family requests casual attire in festive colors. Calvin was born in Lamar, MO to William and Frances Burch on March 17, 1940 and moved to the KC area in September 1958. He was employed for 41 years by Garnac Grain Co., until his retirement in January 2001. He always considered Garnac employees as his second family and lifelong friends. He enjoyed family, working in his yard and visiting with friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife Linda and his two sons Brian and his wife Beth, Kevin and his wife Julie as well as three grandchildren Samantha, Benjamin and Sara. He also leaves 7 nieces and 1 nephew and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his sister. I was so sorry to read that Calvin had passed away. I know that he will be greatly missed by all. I have very pleasant childhood memories of him and of the last reunion at which I saw him. Darlene Blackmore

So sorry to hear that Calvin had passed away . We grew up together and he was one of the "funnest" guys in our group and a great dancer. Got many great memories of a wonderful guy! Hope you are doing well. Love you, Marian (Fast) Shirley

Jane and I were so sad to hear of Calvin's passing. He was a long-time friend from childhood and a really fun person. He will be missed by all of his old friends.
