Joe was our neighbor for fifteen years. During that time we came to know him as a gentle, kind, compassionate man who loved Eleanor and his family and enjoyed sharing stories of his youth and military service. Even as his illness began to limit him, he still wanted to do things such as travel and help with yard work. Never did we hear him say. "I give up." His pride simply would not allow that. We will miss him.
