James M. Easley, 89, of Fort Worth passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at his son's home. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Mr. Easley was born July 16, 1924. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force, served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War and was awarded the Soldier's Medal of Heroism. He later retired from the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. James was united in marriage with Mary Frances Estell on Aug. 31, 1946. James was loved by all who knew him. He took special joy in all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to send special thanks to St. Gabriel's Hospice and Ashley, Darlene, Kate and Chuck. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, Chester Leroy Easley and Mae Etta Owen; his sons, Jerry Easley and Jackie Easley; and three brothers and a sister. Survivors: James will be sadly missed by his son, Jimmie Easley of Grapevine; daughter, Janet Criner of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Dorothy Easley-Brown of Corsicana; grandchildren, James Easley, Patricia Brooks, Leslie Jordan, Lana Hill, Jackie Easley, Michelle Easley, Mary Easley, Shannon Monson, Daniel Easley and Emily Easley; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jim - A great friend and neighbor for over 40 years, and one of the most honorable, upright and just plain solid men anyone could hope to know. He, and Fran, will be forever in my heart. Our sympathy and condolences to all he left behind. Darleene Darrall and Ray (Buddy) DeArmond.
