WELLSVILLE Preston K. Repman, Sr., 88, entered into rest at 11:50 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of the late Thelma L. (Pedigo) Repman. They were married 49 years. Preston was born March 24, 1925 in York Haven, a son of the late Charles L. and Alverta M. (Sipe) Repman. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1967 with 23 years of service. Preston served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He also retired from General Electric in York. Preston was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Dillsburg American Legion Post 26 and the Fleet Reserve Association. He also served on the Zoning Board of Warrington Township. Preston leaves behind his loving children, daughter, Carla S. Repman and husband Lonney of Dover, and three sons, Preston K. Repman, Jr., and wife Sandra of Wellsville, Rusty R. Repman of Ithaca, N.Y. and David L. Repman of Wellsville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, Charles, Daniel, Elwood, Larry and Lonney Repman; two sisters, Patricia Iacono and Brenda Mohr; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Repman, and five siblings, Gary, Lawrence and Gerald Repman, Gloria Smith and Loretta McClellan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Preston's Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Avenue, York. The viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, where veterans honors will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Greg Wahlberg. Dave, Rusty, Preston and Carla - We were on vacation when Uncle Preston passed and are sorry for your loss. We certainly loved your dad and were sorry we didn't have a chance to attend the services. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
