We knew and loved Don as he was in our Sunday School Class. We were out of the city for the past 3 weeks so missed his funeral service. You all are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. It is always very hard to give up our parents, no matter the age of them.

We were out of town and so missed Don's funeral. We are so saddened by his passing. He was such a good friend to us at FBC, and encouraged us so much when we started working with the Benevolence ministry a number of years back. We considered him our "pew buddy" as we always sat on the same pew during Sunday worship. It really "hit home" this past Sunday morning when he wasn't there next to us during the service. He was a dear man, a wonderful friend, and such a good example to so many. He is missed, loved, and will not be forgotten.

Don's years in the benevolence mininstry were filled with wonderful memories of impacting thousands of people in Augusta. I am grateful that God allowed me the opportunity to serve along side such a faithful and dedicated man. We laughed (alot)and cried a few tears through many Tuesdays of service to the Lord. He will be missed!
