Virginia O'Donnell, 96, died November 16, 2013. She was born on May 7, 1917 to Charles and Ethel May (McNeil) Nicks in Lafayette, Colorado. Her early schooling was in the metro area schools and then she moved to San Francisco where she graduated from high school. Virginia returned to Denver where she met William J. O'Donnell, they married on June 20, 1937 in Longmont. She was a homemaker when her children were young and later worked for Allied Appliances in their offices until 1965 when William was transferred to California. She lived in both southern and northern California until the death of her husband in 1988, when she moved back to Longmont where she lived until her death. Virginia is survived by her children, Sharon (William) Risedorf of Longmont, Kathy (Jon) Lethin of Sun City, CA, and Bob (Sue) O'Donnell of Beaumont, CA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Longs Peak United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Longs Peak United Methodist Church Missions. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Visit www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
