What Gerald Louis Ciani, Jr. meant to me:

Anissa's father and I met when I was 19 (I am 43 now!). "Big Jerry", that's what we called him, was always, always a gentlemen. He was always soft spoken, even in his most irritated state. He was always smiling in his eyes, always made me comfortable and welcome, no matter what the circumstances. He showed me wonderful pictures and history of his family and life to date- it was amazing, he was forthright and honest, which is not always pretty but it does make a person who they are- he taught me that! After Anissa's father and I separated, he never, ever faltered in treating me as a family member, he was always so loving and involved. Even in his weaker moments, when I spoke with him, I could "hear" the twinkle- smile" in his eyes, as he was always concerned with not only Anissa's well being but mine as well! Who does that??? Gerald L Ciani, Jr. does that!
God bless his soul, thank you Jerry for being the man you were, always there for my daughter and me, as well! I will miss you.
Dear Family- what a treasure to lose, I am so deeply sorry and know that you are all, in my thoughts and prayers. This angel of a man, will always be there for you, before and after...
