Bozick John A. Bozick ("Boz", "old man", "Uncle John"), January 13, 1925-December 14, 2013. Best friend and husband to Dorothy Saylor Bozick who preceded him in death; dear brother to Dorothy Leibensberger; and loved uncle of Teresa, Sharon, Patti, Kent, Karen, Jean, Glen, Gail, Claude, Ann and "Aim". As a straight-talking friend to coaches, athletes, trainers and students alike at Ohio State University, John earned the respect and love of many, both within and outside of this "Ohio State family", during his 65 years in the Columbus community. "The Buckeyes have lost an unsung hero.""despite all of your protests, you will always be a legendary figure in Ohio State athletics. We will miss the tough old Serb with a heart of gold." A celebration of his life is planned for April 11, 2014 (TBA) in concert with the OSU Spring Football game on April 12. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.deyodavis.com.

Interacting with people is what "Boz" did best. His success recipe: honesty, levity, and a smile. One thing about being a barber, you meet all kinds of people. Very few of us get the opportunity to meet someone like him during their lifetime. I'm so glad that I was one of them!
Rest in peace, my friend. You'll be sadly missed and remembered always at The Razor's Edge Salon. GO BUCKS!

Boz you were "the Man"! There is no one that went through the football program at Ohio State that does not have a cherished story about you. You made many laugh and a few cry, but you always said your mind. Of my life's accomplishments, my part in introducing you to Dorthy is near the top in my mind. Two die hard singles that fell for each other on the first date and enjoyed a marriage most would envy. You will always be remembered my friend

John Bozick, you will truly be missed. I'll never forget his answer to one of my first questions to him. What is an AYO? His response was just a primer for his brutal honesty and humor I would enjoy the next 30 plus years. We had many discussions over the years and I could always depend on Boz giving me the un-sugarcoated answer I needed even if I didn't really want to hear it. I will miss you my friend and rest in peace.

He always referred to himself as a kook. I always told him he was brutally honest. Women loved him. For all of us who had the privilege of having him in our lives he will be truly missed. I'm honored to call John Bozick my Uncle John.

I was just thinking of him the other day. Now I know why. What a great figure from the Golden Years of Ohio State athletics. He was quick on his feet and his mind was like a steel trap with incredible recall. Mr Bozik may you rest in peace. Thanks for all the assistance over the years. I pray we will meet again.

I worked for Boz and I am lucky to have spent the amount of time I did with him. Those many hours in the EQ room, hearing the stories and being taught life-long lessons...priceless.
The EQ room will never be the same.
Boz, you'll be missed, but never forgotten.

The Woody will never be the same without you walking down the hall Boz. I enjoyed you as a walk-on in 1974, a GA in 1976 and 77 and as part of Coach Tressel's staff from 2003 - 2011. You had the wisdom of a PhD and the honesty of Abe Lincoln. If you thought it, you said it, without dressing it up. You are a true Buckeye and will be sorely missed.
