SCALES, Elizabeth June June Boswell Caldwell Scales Elizabeth June Boswell Caldwell Scales, age 82, of Athens, Georgia, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart, GA. Born in Wrightsville, GA on June 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar Boswell and FloRene Hatcher Boswell. She graduated from Greensboro High School and attended Stephens College in Missouri and the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. For thirty years, June was a Real Estate Sales Agent for Harry Norman and Buckhead Brokers in Atlanta, GA. She attended church at Northside Methodist Church in Atlanta and the First Presbyterian Church in Athens. June moved from Atlanta, GA to Athens, GA in 2006. She really enjoyed the beach, especially Gulf Shores. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Philip Scales; and a son, Charles R. "Chip" Caldwell III. June is survived by a daughter, Susan Gullatt Caldwell of Athens, GA; four brothers, James "Jimmy" Boswell, Jr. and wife Edith of Huntsville, AL, William H. "Billy" Boswell and wife Laura of Watkinsville, GA, Robert L. "Bobby" Boswell and wife Faith of Greensboro, GA and Philip "Phil" Boswell and wife Dianne of Greensboro, GA; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622. My Grandmother was a beautiful woman! Who was a pillar to the Buckhead community... She did many things to ensure that had a good life... She was the greatest southern woman, I knew...
She will be missed, as time seems to always be of the essence...
