Mary K. Martin
Mary Kathryn Martin, age 87, of Florence, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tenn. at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Martin was born on July 31, 1926, in BonAir, Tenn. She graduated from St. Thomas School of Nursing in Nashville, Tenn. in 1947. She was a member of First Christian Church in Florence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, U.C. and Katherine Fulmer; and her brother, Harold Fulmer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Raymond Martin; sons, Lyn Martin and Mike Martin and wife, Kristie; grandson, Brett Martin and wife, Meghan; granddaughter, Katie Hanback and husband, Bronson; great-grandson, Brockton Hanback; brothers, Buddy Fulmer and George Fulmer; sisters, Janey Dudney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the First Christian Church of Florence, Hospice of the Shoals, and caregiver, E. J. Kelsey, and a special thanks to her wonderful and loving friend, Peggy Klein.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church or Shriners Hospital for Children in Nashville, Tenn.
