I remember hearing about Gordy from my sister, Beverly Poindexter, when she worked at RD Barry as a Lead Designer. He was personable and had the most caring spirit of helping others succeed. He is truly missed.

Condolences to the family of Gordon Zacks,

Gordon was a wonderful leader in the community and saved and built a business that thrived in a very difficult market. He was also an innovator. While I don't recall meeting Gordon, I did know his brother Barry through my real estate brokerage and consulting business and sold him the Max and Erma's original headquarters building. Due to this relationship, I started following Gordon's career and observed his perseverance in the slipper business.

I'm certain that a man with such energy and foresight will be sorely missed by his family and firm. If I can be of any assistance in your time of need, please do not hesitate to ask.

I had the privilage of being Gordon's driver back in 1982-84. To this day I tell the stories revolving around that experience. His 1976 Eldorado was amazing!

Our love and deepest sympathy to the Zacks family on the passing of a dear friend. I (Kathie) worked for and with Gordon for almost 40 years, enjoying a close and very special relationship.. His mentorship, encouragement and support were the joy of my carreer. My husband, Bill, and I enjoyed many Saturday afternoons with Gordon and Carol Sue at Ohio State to cheer the Buckeyes on (particularly against Michigan). Special love to Cathy and her family and Kim and her daughter. You were the joy of his life. I remember watching you both grow into young ladies (both serving internships in Customer Service). It was wonderful to be able to spend some time with all of you in Kennebunkport in August. Hoping we can continue to keep in touch.

To the Zacks family. I send my deepest heartfelt sympathy to all. I am a former employee for R G Barry as the switchboard operator, and whenever Gordan would come into the building, he would always have a great "GOOD MORNING" and a wonderful smile to go with the greeting. He will be missed.
