Richard L. Rotunda PALMYRA Richard L. Rotunda, 80, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Nancy M. (Daubert) Rotunda. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 20, 1933, Richard was a son of the late Joseph A. and Marion A. (Farinacci) Rotunda. Richard enjoyed a life long career in sales. After he retired from the Hemingway Motor Company in South Carolina, he enjoyed working for the last seven years at Manheim Auto Auction with his many friends and associates. Richard was a Mason and member of Mount Olivet Lodge No. 704 F&AM, Zembo Shrine, and Harrisburg Consistory 32 degree AASR; and past member Hershey Italian Lodge, Lebanon County Jaycees, and Headstart Program. Richard enjoyed coaching various youth sports, fishing, and was an avid card player. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by three children, Susan, wife of Robert Hartman of Palmyra, Dawn, wife of Deacon Anthony Kearney of Palmyra, and Joseph, husband of Terri Rotunda of Greensboro, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol, wife of William Christ of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Rotunda. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul The Apostle, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville 17003. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Zembo Shrine Transportation Fund, which provides transportation assistance to local children in need who are patients of Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2801 N. 3rd St., Harrisburg, PA 1710 or Friends of Old Annville, P.O. Box 99, Annville, PA 17003. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
