TRENTON - Bernard Paul Kosak, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Bernard was born in Garfield, New Jersey on August 6, 1929, to Stephen and Carolyn Kosak. He served his Country faithfully with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Rhems United Methodist Church in New Bern, where he sang in the choir. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois Jean Kosak and his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Lysa Kathryn Mackey and husband James of Trenton; two grandchildren, Jacob and Isaac Mackey of Trenton. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Connie Stutts officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lenoir County SPCA, 2455 Rouse Road Ext, Kinston, NC 28504. Online condolences may be sent to howardandcarter.com.
