Leroy Duncan Obituary

SHELBY - Leroy Junior Duncan, 70, departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Peak Resources in Shelby. He was born on Oct. 20, 1943, in Cleveland County, to the late Leroy Duncan and Rebecca Ruff Surratt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Emanuel "Toot" Duncan, Jimmy Duncan, Willie "Bo" Duncan and John "Chuckie" Duncan.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathrin Evette Duncan of Fla.; three brothers, Harrill Ruff (Ann), Ernest Surratt and Charles Surratt (Charlene), all of Shelby; two sisters, Rebecca "El" Degree and Phyllis Ruff, both of Shelby; a special niece, Joann Odom (Willie); a loving aunt, Rosa Lee Hopper ;and a dear friend, Henry Lawton, all of Shelby; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the chapel, and other times at the home of his brother, Harrill Ruff, 115 Broad Street in Shelby.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel
Funeral home: Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
