Anne Cooney Milone
1931-2014 Anne Cooney Milone, age 82, of Pittsfield, died Wednesday morning at Mt. Carmel Care Center in Lenox. Born in Pittsfield, July 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Irene Scully Cooney. She was educated in the local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1949. She received her degree in Education from Smith College in 1953. She moved to Maryland and later New Jersey where she taught. Anne returned to Pittsfield in 2007 to reside with her daughter, Barbara. Anne was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and later St. Anthony's Church in Butler, N.J. An avid fan of "Jeopardy", she enjoyed reading, playing cards and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was her role as "Big Grandma" to her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dominic R. Milone, her son, Kevin, her sister Marilyn and her brothers Jack and Bobby. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Milone, her daughter-in-law, Lori A. Milone of Butler, N.J., her sister, Mrs. Irene Filippone of Pompton Plains, N.J., and her three grandchildren, Ashley Milone, Matthew Milone and Jessica Milone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including her God-Daughter, Ellen Cooney of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE: Milone, Anne L. Cooney, age 82, died March 5, 2014. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 28th at St. Joseph's Church beginning at 9AM with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Respecting Anne's wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Marks School or a local animal shelter of ones choice in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.

Dear Beebs, So sorry to hear of Aunt Anne's passing. I'll always remember the marathon card games at Maplewood. God Bless the Sweet Pretty Lady.
