FRANKFORD - Linda Ann Wilson, 74, of Frankford Township, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Andover Subacute & Rehabilitation Center in Andover Township.
Born in New York City, N.Y., on March 12, 1940, Linda was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Conway. She was an artist who painted with oils, pastels, charcoal and water color and served two terms as president of the Sussex County Art Society. A member of the Sussex County Bird Club and Milford Audubon Society for many years, Linda loved nature, especially birds and flowers. Crows and owls had a special place in her heart, as did white German shepherds. For the past 30 years, Linda and her husband gave nature programs all over Northern New Jersey. She was certified by NASA to show and tell about moon rocks. Linda worked tirelessly at the photography and art exhibit at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show "All My Life's a Circle." Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard E. Wilson, of Frankford Township; two sons, Joel Wilson of Florida and Eric Wilson of Frankford Township; and seven grandchildren. A Story of Linda Wilson's Life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the Lafayette House for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Delaware Valley Raptor Center, Cummins Road, Milford, PA 18337; or the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville.
