Erlene Denson Obituary

Erlene Paulk Denson, a resident of North Port, FL (born October 23, 1914) went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday, March 14, 2014. Erlene was the last surviving member of the five children of Jess R. & Annie Lee Paulk of Ramer, Alabama. She is survived by her two children, Patricia Stanley (Daniel) and Darryl Denson (Debra); five grandchildren, Jenny Stanley, Jeremiah D. Stanley (Meredith), Kelly Denson, Elizabeth Guild (Matt), & Rebecca Brown (Darren); and five great-grandchildren, Myah Stanley, Isabella Lauro, Rogan Lauro, Davok Brown and Kaden Brown. Erlene dedicated her life to the service of Jesus Christ. She was a foreign missionary during the late 1940's. Erlene also worked in various other ministries in addition to a teaching career that spanned 40 years. The service of Praise and Remembrance will be held on Sunday, March 23, at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with visitation preceding at 1:00pm. Graveside services will follow at Ramer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in memory of Erlene Denson to the Southern Baptist International Mission Board, Attn: Finance Department, P. O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0767
