William Marquez William "LeRoy" Marquez, age 85, of Joliet, Born in Rockdale, IL., son of Cora (Giddens) and Pedro Marquez. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Herbert, Kenneth, and Joseph; 1 sister, Mary Rodriguez; 1 grand-daughter, Tina Daniels; 2 son-in-laws, William Daniels and Raymond McDade; and 1 great-granddaughter, Jayden Marquez. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dolores of 60 years; 1 son, LeRoy Marquez; 4 daughters, Linda Daniels McDade, Rita (Joe) Salazar, Kathy (John) Romo, and Christina (Joe) Borth; 8 grandchildren, Sylvia, Lisa, Raquel, Jenny, Aurelio, Jeremy, John and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Caterpillar after 31 years. He enjoyed watching boxing, playing his harmonica and guitar, raising birds and most of all, spending time with family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care; Lisa Reidenga, RN and Taryn Hoffman, CNA; and a most appreciated thank-you to grandson, Jeremy, for his loving care. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL., 60441 on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service Monday, April 7, 2014 with chapel prayers at 9:15 AM to St. Bernard Church, 1313 Ridgewood Ave., Joliet, IL for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you since we heard of your great loss. It's not easy to lose someone that was such a big part of your life, we know first hand, but he is not suffering anymore and was welcomed by many. I know for sure my dad was one of them to greet him!
