Barbara Jean Harper, 78, of Owensboro, died March 27, 2014, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Bedford, TX. She was born in Louisville to the late Albert and Winnie Langley Elmore and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Edward Harper; children, Paula Mudd of Leitchfield, Howard "Butch" Elmore of Louisville, Eddie Harper of Caneyville, Carol Truelove of North Richland Hills, TX, Marilyn Cubbage of Leitchfield, Earl Harper of Euless, TX, and Lisa Houchins of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 7 siblings. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after Noon on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
