Age 77 of Stafford, VA Formerly of South St. Paul, MN Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, April 7, 2014. Sally was born on July 26, 1936 to James & Anna Rand. She married Joseph J. Platz on June 2, 1956 and they moved to South St. Paul shortly thereafter where she lived for over 40 years. Sally loved time with family and friends and spent each day with love and laughter and had no regrets. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. Sally is survived by her daughters, Barb (Bernie) Eckman, Nancy (Lee) Bauer and Jackie (Alan) Stocks; grandchildren, Rose Platz, Alicia O'Donnell, Joseph Eckman & Brandon Eckman; three great-grandchildren, Josh, Aaron and Brooklyn; sisters, Alice James and Mary Rojina; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM Monday, April 14 at the CHURCH OF ST. AUGUSTINE, 3rd St. N. at 4th Ave., South St. Paul. Visitation 2-6PM Sunday, April 13 at J.S. KLECATSKY & SONS SOUTHERN CHAPEL (651-451-1551), 414 Marie Ave., SSP and also 1 hr. prior to the Mass on Monday in the church basement. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
