Beese, Richard J. "Rick"
Richard J. "Rick" Beese of Oshkosh, 51, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 after succumbing to his short battle with liver cancer. He was surrounded by his family at his time of death. He was born September 3, 1962, in Oshkosh, the son of Robert J. and Mildred (Alderson) Beese. Rich was a 1980 graduate of Oshkosh West High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was the owner of Galaxy Service.
Rich could always be found watching Packer Games on Sunday with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, participating in activities such as hiking, Frisbee, and softball league. He was always the voice in the crowd to be heard! He cheered on his children, nieces, and nephews who competed in their high school sporting events for Oshkosh North and West High School. Rick was a selfless person, always giving what he had to help others. He also volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul of Oshkosh. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rick is survived by his father; Robert J. Beese, two sisters; Deanna (Gary) Lichtfuss and Karen Schuhart, five sons; Cole (Dominique) Smigelski, Rikki and Randy Beese, Mitchell and Haylen Cartwright, two daughters; April Beese, Lydia Cartwright, Former wife of nine years, Maggie Beese, one step-daughter; Chi Selenka and her daughter, Cindy Selenka, one uncle; William (Judy) Beese, two nieces; Zandra Kopitzke and Deidre Kunz, and five nephews; Robert Griswold, Justin Beese, Jim Kunz, and Robert and Roger Schuhart.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother; Mildred Beese, two brothers; Roger and Robert Beese and his paternal grandparents; Herman and Viola Beese.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Konrad Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside). A benefit will be held in Richard's honor at Witzke's Banquet Hall on May 24, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Mike Stout, Shalaun Lyons, and the staff at the Omro Pharmacy, Aurora Hospice and Visiting Nurses for all their help during a difficult time. And a special thanks to Dr. Karen Gremminger. A memorial is being established.

You will be missed my dear friend. I will remember our time together, our friendship, your laughter, your sense of humor, your generous heart and your beautiful brown eyes. Rest in peace my friend. You will always be in my heart. My condolences to Rick's dad and his children.
